Ryan's Mom

This was the first day that we decided to really push Ryan into potty training success. I did continually ask him if he had to go. Of course, he said no and did not want to stop playing to go to the bathroom. When I did take him he went. I really want him to tell us when he has to go instead of us always having to put him on the potty. **** Today, Ryan only told us when he had to go poop. For some reason, he will not poop in his pants but has no problem going pee-pee in them. One exciting thing was he wanted to stand up when we took him to the bathroom. (I believe it’s because Daddy took him and Daddy always tells him to stand up like a big boy.) **** This was an ordinary day. Ryan had a couple of pee-pee accidents b/c we were out fishing in the everglades. I think he was too occupied with the alligator wrestling show to want to stop and go pee-pee. But when I did put him on, he would go.

What a happy day. I was running errands with Ryan, when he told me he had to go pee-pee because his Cool Alert Pull-Ups pant felt cold. We ran out of that store so fast and went in the portal-potty I have in the car. I was so proud of him. He got his Diego stickers. **** Ryan went to school today. When I came to pick him up, I heard him tell his teacher that he had to go potty. I couldn’t believe it!!!! I was so excited. He got his sticker from his teacher. I’m keeping my fingers crossed. **** Today, Ryan had NO Accidents even when he woke up from his nap. He told me he had to go pee-pee. I really hope he’s getting the hang of it now. (Lots of Diego stickers and praise today!)

Ryan had a very busy day today. He woke up wet in the morning but he had no accidents the rest of the day! I think in the next couple of days, we will start Big Boy Underwear during the day, and Pull-Ups training pants at night. He has made such an improvement in telling us he has to go. I'm a proud mommy! **** At school today, Ryan told his teacher he had to go potty. I was really happy with his progress. But the best part of the whole day was when Ryan went to the bathroom all by himself. I couldn't believe it. We were home and Ryan was playing in his playroom. I heard him say "I gotta go pee-pee" and he ran down the hall. I followed him without him knowing. There he was pulling down his pants and then his Pull-Ups training pants! He moved the step over in front of the toilet. He tried to get up, but he needed my help. I was so proud of him! He really hit a milestone today! **** Since Daddy was home, he really worked on Ryan going potty standing up. He did it once which was great. Ryan is watching his older brother Eric and Daddy have a race to the potty. This is making Ryan want to try. I think this is going to help him go standing up! **** Today, we had a birthday party. We asked Ryan if he had to go and he said "No". We kept reminding him but to no avail. When I went to take him to go potty before we left the party, he had already gone in his pants. I must realize that accidents happen. He has come so far, so I didn't want to dwell on it. **** Today was a great day! No accidents. In fact, we were at the post office and Ryan had to go potty. There were no bathrooms. I told him to hold it. We left the long line and we ran to the car. I pulled out the portal potty in the parking lot and he went. I was ecstatic! He had held it! Not even a leak! I couldn't believe it. I think he is ready for Big Boy Underwear! **** Ryan did great at school today. He told the teacher when he had to go. When we went home, Ryan had 2 accidents within a couple of hours. I was frustrated because I thought he might be regressing. The next time he went in the potty that day, I gave him extra praise and stickers! **** Yay Ryan! Today we were in the mall and Ryan had to go! I didn't have the portal potty on me so we had to use a public restroom. Yuck! So we went and Ryan went pee-pee STANDING UP!!!! That's right!!!! I was thrilled. Big Boy Underwear is coming soon!

What an Exciting day! We bought big boy underwear. I put them on him in the store. Then we went to lunch. During lunch he told me he had to go potty. I was excited that he told me but not happy about using a public restroom. ? Later that day, we went out. When I took him out of the car seat, he had pee-peed all over himself. Thank Goodness I had a change of clothes. I hope this big boy underwear was not a mistake. But I must persevere and not go back. **** I'm so proud of Ryan. He had no accidents today. I'm thinking about putting him in underwear through the night. **** Ryan woke up dry!!!! Tonight I'm going to put him in underwear. He went to school today in his underwear and no accidents. I believe he is potty trained. **** Ryan woke up wet. I had to give him a bath in the morning and wash all of his sheets. AHHHH! Just when I thought he could go throughout the night! I'm going to put him in big boy underwear tonight. I can't give up. **** Ryan woke up wet again! I'm going to resort back to Pull-Ups pants because cleaning up all of the urine is not fun!! **** Ryan woke up dry and he had no accidents. I still decided to put him in a Pull-Ups training pant! **** Ryan woke up dry again!!! Then it was off to swimming lessons. I didn't put a swim diaper on him. During the lesson he said he had to go pee-pee. I was proud of him b/c he did go. I'm sure everyone in the pool is happy for that one!
